Kenya Airways has reduced the checked baggage allowance on its intra-Africa routes from two pieces to one piece. The airline previously allowed passengers flying in Economy Class from one African country to another two bags of a maximum weight of 23kgs.
In a statement issued by the airline, it said that the intra-Africa one bag allowance would not apply to economy-class passengers travelling to and from other continents. Business-class passengers still retain their allowance of two bags, at no additional cost, weighing a maximum of 32 kilograms per bag.
The new baggage policy will entitle passengers to 20% discount on any extra baggage purchases up to 24 hours prior to departure.
